Dr. John (Junghwan) Kim was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. His family moved to Chicago, Illinois in 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Creighton University in 2016. Dr. Kim later received a doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020. While attending dental school, Dr. Kim was awarded the Dr. William F. Stroner Scholarship. Dr. Kim worked as a general dentist in private practices for 2 years prior to his endodontic residency at UIC.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim enjoys hiking, traveling, being a foodie, and spending time with his wife and his Scottish Fold cat “Bopon”. Giving him restaurant recommendations is strongly encouraged!
